The Preserve offers really well-built, attractive, reasonably priced homes in a wide array of styles and sizes. A variety of amenities are available with more planned in the future. Close to shopping and the interstate yet tucked quietly away from the hubbub. So far I've spotted several deer, an opossum, many kinds of birds and we have a pair of resident eagles who have young. Friendly community! I love it here and my home.

We closed on our home in August 2020. We couldn't be happier with our decision to build with Smithbilt in The Preserve. Angela England was amazing to work with and continually went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and answer any questions we had. We went through the building process while living in Illinois so it was very challenging and Angela made the process so much less stressful. The subdivision has so many amenities to offer that we are and will take advantage of....the marina, wellness center, pool and golf course and there is even more. We also love all the amazing people we have met here. We often find ourselves saying we can't believe we get to live here. We are so blessed! We highly recommend The Preserve!

I'd have to say that building with Smithbilt at The Preserve was the greatest decision my wife and I could have made. We had looked at purchasing a home or building in other places but nothing could compare to The Preserve. Its very quiet, very neat/tidy, and has lots of amenities! The have an outdoor pool, indoor lap pool, playground, tennis courts, Marina, and nice golf course! The list goes on and on. You wont be disappointed living here. When we came to The Preserve we were treated like family by two great people. From start to finish Jessica Catapano and Angela England made the process a breeze! They are very knowledgeable when it comes to homes and even so when it comes down to the fine details which impressed us a lot. No regrets here from us and would do it again!

My wife and I just moved here from Connecticut. We purchased The Houghton Model and can not begin to tell you how happy we are with it. The home was built while we were in CT so we could not be here to see it. Southland kept us well informed as the construction progressed and any design aspects were done virtually on line. When we finally moved into the home, it more than met our expectations. The neighbors are friendly, the neighborhood is clean and safe and the scenery outstanding, not to mention the beautiful Clinch River. All we can say is if you are looking for a great home in a great location with many amenities, come to The Preserve in Tennessee. I have never seen my wife so happy!!!

I was initially impressed with the scenic drive into the development.  I chose a lot near the fitness/pool area because it is a great spot to entertain family and visitors. I personally don't use the marina but it's a fun little drive there with beautiful scenery. I love the area! It has a feeling of living in the country with the amenities in several towns only a short drive away. A great place to call home!

This is an attractive community of various options for a home, from size to location. Families, young marrieds, retirees all live here. There are sidewalks that weave through all the sections, and lead to the fabulous Wellness Center, outdoor pool, tennis courts... and so much more! Plans for a golf course are underway, the marina is already open to residents, and so many other plans are in the future. But what appealed to me most are the people. The Smithbilt office staff are so accommodating, from start to finish. And secondly, the neighborhood is full of friendly people. And lastly, we love our home.. It was a great “find” for us... and it can be for you, too! Very nice homes for extremely reasonable prices.

We purchased a home in the Preserve and absolutely love the neighborhood and community. The preserve is perfectly located for us. We loved being able to pick the floor plan that worked best for our family and watch it being built from the ground up. Smithbilt did a fantastic job. They completed the house in the time commitment promised and we are so happy with the quality. Angela and Jessica with Southland Realtors were fantastic to work with. They answered all of our questions and were always there when we needed there guidance. After we moved in they were still available to answer questions. Aside from having an amazing home in a beautiful neighborhood, the amenities are incredible. We are so happy were purchased our home in the Preserve.

This community is amazing to be in this location and have all the city of Oak Ridge services. With the beautiful sunsets and scenery of the nearby mountains and the awesome Marina on the Clinch River here in a neighborhood that is surrounded with lighted sidewalks and not to mention all the amenities like the huge outdoor pool, the fitness center, the indoor pool and a golf course in progress. With amazing help from the Southland Realtors Sales Team (Angela England) and Smithbilt Home Builders it was the perfect place to build our retirement home at the Preserve on the Clinch!

When you enter the Preserve, it feels like an escape. Everything is very quiet and you can hear nature around you. The views are just amazing. The pool is very clean and enjoyable. I have only lived her for 2 weeks but it is the most relaxing place to live!

We moved in two months ago and are very happy with our decision to live here. The community is growing, and our guess is that it will double in size in no time at all.

I love the Preserve! It is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood! Everyone is really friendly and we have had no major issues. We have an Augusta floor plan built by Smithbilt and moved into our home in February. We have had many compliments and love our home. We absolutely love it here!  Our house is finally coming together.  We have built several homes but this was the easiest, least stressful home that we ever had built.  Everyone that builds should have a design center to pick everything in one sitting. Jessica, on the sales team, was wonderful.  She always kept us informed on how the house was progressing and our home was finished by the contract date.  Everything is convenient here,  this is a great location and we love being so close to the water.  Can we say more?

I moved from Kentucky and always had an interest in living and working in Oak Ridge and The Preserve sold it for me. From the outstanding vistas, to the intimate wooded areas, The Preserve is an incredible place to live. Not only is The Preserve aesthetically pleasing, it also provides a healthy lifestyle with all the amenities that are offered. The Smithbilt team was fantastic to work with. The homes are VERY affordable and have many floor plans, in several income pools. We built The Wyndham floor plan and it has proven to be perfect for our family. The Preserve is a place I am proud of and excited to raise my family in. Of course the proof is in the pudding... you should come see for yourself. Chances are, you won't want to leave!

This is a very nice place. It's quiet and a great spot for families or individuals who want to live like they are constantly on a quiet getaway. But, it's also not far from some great shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend The Preserve.
